New Creative Advisory Board member

We are proud to anounce, 2019 jury member, Charlotte Haslund-Christensen to join 60Seconds Festival Creative advisory board.

She is a visual artist born and based in Copenhagen. Graduate fom the Danish School of Art Photography Fatamorgana (1996) and the International Center of Photography in New York (1997).  Haslund-Christensen's long-term photographic and video art projects are performative and documentary, taking their impetus from the specific contexts in which they are created, for example anthropological 'expeditions', in the basement of a police station or as a traveling photographer or camerawoman in local communities. A common political thread throughout her oeuvre is addressing stereotypes and the role of the media - past and the present - in their creation.

"A urban democratic festival in your city" at Tehran, Iran.

The event featured a screening and presentation of a curated selection from 60 Seconds Festival, showcasing 20 one-minute films from previous editions. The screening offered audiences an introduction to the festival's format and its international community of filmmakers and artists.

Following the screening, a talk explored the process of creating and sustaining an urban festival. The discussion addressed topics such as programming, audience engagement, partnerships, and the opportunities and challenges of organizing cultural events in public and urban spaces. The session provided insights into the practical and creative aspects of festival-making while encouraging dialogue about the role of festivals in contemporary city life.

60+ LEAP SECOND SCREENING is a collaboration between 60Seconds short film festival and Leap Second Festival. Both festivals dealing with works of short duration presented at alternative platforms and public spaces.

At Piksel 17 we’ll screen the films virtually in public space with the piratebox technology which allows people to connect to a network router to see the exhibition on their smart devices.
